By enabling this feature, the organizations can control the maximum allowed quantity for all items that can be bought on the ecommerce site. With this feature, a new configuration named "Maximum quantity per item" is available on the online functionality profiles form in Commerce headquarters. If this configuration is set to a positive value e.g. 10, then the sites (via channel mapping) associated with the current functionality profile will enforce this limit on all items. However, the default order quantity defined on the product level overrides this setting. Prior to this feature, the maximum quantity control was achieved by a setting on the site builder, but that configuration will be deprecated in future.
