By enabling this feature, the e-Commerce channel-side inventory calculation logic behind GetEstimatedAvailability and GetEstimatedProductWarehouseAvailability APIs will factor in the unposted transactions in both e-Commerce and retail store channels. Otherwise, the calculation evaluates inventory only based on unposted e-Commerce customer orders. The "optimized product availability calculation" feature must be enabled prior to enabling this feature. If your e-Commerce website and retail stores leverage different fulfillment warehouses, enabling this feature is not necessary.
