When activated, the posting date will always align with the defined depreciation to date. If the defined to date isn't at the end of the depreciation period, the system automatically defaults to the last day of the previous period. This functionality is particularly used for catch-up depreciation, ensuring that adjustments for prior periods are posted clearly on a single, uniform date rather than being distributed across multiple dates.
